If you're seeking a great part time (or possibly full time) position that pays well, then you can't beat landing a position as a valet parking attendant. These positions are fun and with gratuities, (on top of your base pay), should prove very lucrative. On top of the good income, the job comes with more benefits. Such as freedom, for one. At many valet parking employers you can to determine what days you want to work. It's apparent a valet parking job can be pretty cool. But how how does a person secure one? What are valet parking employers looking for in employees? They can afford to be somewhat rigorous when it comes to taking on new people, because the positions are so desirable. Well, let's get right into what makes for a good new hire. First off, they'll be asking about your driving history. Because, if you get the job, you'll be behind the wheels of their guests' vehicles, that will be of critical importance. They will demand that you secure a certified copy of your driving record from your city police department. They want people with clean driving histories. The ideal prospects will be those which have zero violations and zero wrecks. So this means that if an applicant's driving record isn't spotless that they don't have a chance? No, not necessarily. Most prospects will have less than perfect driving histories. But the fewer problems a job seeker has, the better. Next, they'll tell you to acquire a certified copy of your police record. It goes without saying that if an applicant has several arrests for criminal activity, they're probably wasting their time. The employers will not be interested in someone that they have to worry might drive off with a guest's car or property. Urine screening will almost always be a requirement, for obvious reasons. And appearance will be a big criteria. Not that an applicant needs to be gorgeous. That's not what I'm saying. But one who is seeking to be hired as a valet parking attendant has to look like a professional. What this boils down to is that lots of piercings or tattoos are going to be a real hurdle. Now you know what valet parking firms are seeking in employees! So if you pass the test, you have an excellent chance of being hired!
